Milo & Co is a family-run dog walking and pet services business based in Hughenden Valley. We're a married couple who love dogs and love the Chilterns, and we set the business up so other dogs could enjoy both as much as ours does.
When you book with us, you get Lorna. Not a rota, not a stranger. She's first aid and CPR trained, DBS checked and fully insured with public liability cover, and your dog gets every minute of the time you've booked.
Hi, I'm Lorna! Your friendly local dog walker in Hughenden Valley. Chatty, cheerful and happiest outdoors whatever the weather, yes, even in torrential downpours.
I’ll be the dog walker out on every walk around Hughenden Valley, Naphill, Great Kingshill and further afield. I'm Patient, calm and properly dog-mad, I’m usually the one with muddy boots and a pocket full of treats.
Every dog is different so I take the time to get to know each one: what they love, what makes them nervous and whether they’re a stick fanatic or one that loves a puddle.
You can leave your dog with me knowing I’m pet first aid and CPR trained, DBS checked, and that Milo & Co is fully covered by public liability insurance.
Andy is my husband and the other half of the team. He looks after the website and the social media pages, and he’s just as happy out in the woods as he is behind a screen. If you’ve seen a photo of a very happy dog on the Milo & Co page, there’s a good chance he took it.
With a background in journalism, PR and video, Andy keeps the site and social channels up to date, so you can see what the dogs have been getting up to and find the answers you need. It also means I can spend my time out walking, and that finding a friendly, local dog walker is as easy as it should be.
Away from the keyboard, he’s most likely to be found on a muddy path with Milo!
Milo is our dog, our inspiration and the reason the business has his name on it. He has tested every field, wood and muddy puddle in the area and has strong opinions about all of them.
His duties are demanding. Quality control comes first, which means checking every new route for smells, squirrels and anything worth rolling in. Then there’s customer service, which involves greeting new dogs with a wagging tail and a thorough sniff, and making sure they feel at home before the first walk.
He takes treat testing very seriously, and his standards are high. Milo is the reason Andy and I started Milo & Co, and every dog on the books gets the same love of the outdoors that he does.
After years working in events, admin and, most recently, managing exams in schools, I decided it was time to put down the lanyard and launch Milo & Co, a professional dog walking and pet services business in Hughenden Valley and the surrounding areas.
Years of juggling timings and schedules, people taught me to stay organised and calm when things don’t go to plan, which turns out to be handy when you’re looking after someone’s dog. But the real reason is simpler. I’m happiest outdoors with a dog beside me, and I wanted to turn that into a job I could do properly, with a family business built around it.
Milo & Co is run with my husband Andy and our dog Milo, and every dog gets the full time you’ve booked. If you’re looking for a friendly, trustworthy dog walker in Hughenden Valley, Naphill, Great Kingshill or nearby, I’d love to meet you and your dog.
